Seasoned Traveller!

Hi Folks! I am a seasoned 30 year traveller. I've travelled to many places and stayed in a variety of hotels and resorts. I've been to Columbia, England, Scotland, Las Vegas, Florida, Bahamas, California, New England States, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec and all the Atlantic provinces, Nova Scotia (where I live), New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland. Now I can say I've been to Spain (Barcelona), Italy (Rome), Greece (Crete), Turkey (Izmir & Ephesus, Africa (Egypt) and Malta. What an adventure! My next big adventure is Vancouver then Kauai, Hawaii!! AND HERE I AM!! WHOA! I'm back home now. What a fabulous trip to Kauai! It was a magical vacation. We even saw Puff the Magic Dragon who lies with his head sadly on the island ground, covered in grass and trees with beautiful sand beaches all around him. We sang his song a lot. Didn't want to leave at all, but here we are back home and dreaming of the next adventure already!

Well, the next adventure came and me and the kids travelled to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The moment we landed, we fell in love with Mexico! We loved the people, the service and the country! Villa del Palmar didn't disappoint us at all. The Spanish style room with the view of the most esquisite site I've ever seen was beyond the imagination. So glad we went and hope to go back to again some day.

Well, our next big adventure will be to Victoria, BC Canada then on to an Alaska cruise! We can't wait! Stay tuned.

How many times do we pass up an opportunity that later we feel we should have taken up? Probably many. Life is not a box of chocolates, it's real and our time is real! What we choose to do with that time is our decision. Don't waste it, embrace it and live it, to the fullest! Hope is for the future, but living is for today.

Delta PEI, The BEST Delta Yet!

The Delta PEI hotel was one of my best experiences yet with all the Delta hotels I've stayed in.

I have been very busy the last two months travelling and couldn't really post new reads.  One of my travels took me to the Delta PEI and the moment I got to the counter for check in, I was met by the best service agent yet.  Maureen is the most incredible front desk agent.  She recognized a weary traveller from the get go and when I asked to be on the Signature floor, she said they didn't have one but she had something even better for me.

She upgraded me to a wonderful room with a jacuzzi.  It was big, pink and awesome!  My bed was a king size bed and so comfortable with wonderful bedding and pillows.  I was facing the water with lovely wide window seats.  I had an eating area and living room area.  I realized that I forgot my swim suit but I had the most wonderful night in my jacuzzi.  I felt pampered and I was!

The room service was outstanding and the dining room food and service was wonderful!  For lunch, I ate a homemade chicken salad sandwich and the Chef came out to me to see exactly how I wanted it made.  He had a different version of what it would have looked like than I had so I am glad he came out.   He told me he was originally from BC and he started out on a many country travel expedition.  However, his first stop was PEI and he fell in love and never did any of the other countries.  He hopes to in the future.  I said once an Island girl, always an Island girl.  We had a great chat and he made me a lovely sandwich.   Later, I had the fortunate incidents to meet the Chef's little girl.  She was the prettiest little girl I ever met!  She was lovely.  I had a dinner meeting with two people and we ate the buffet.  I enjoyed the Christmas Turkey Dinner, always my favourite.  My room service was a Delta club with real chicken and it was really good.

My favourite Delta hotels in the Atlantic are:

Delta PEI
Delta Saint John, the service agents here are wonderful as well.
Delta Sydney, but I believe they have now changed owners and name
Delta St. John's, NL
Delta Beausejour, Moncton
I have not had the pleasure of staying at the Delta Halifax as yet.  I hope to one day.

I've taken some pictures for you all to enjoy the scenery of the hotel, the room and my jacuzzi.  Thanks to all my wonderful followers and all my new followers and I wish you all the very merriest of New Year for 2013!
